ANZAC DAY 2018
Until 2015 our unit, No. 450 Squadron was blessed to have a prominent member of our Squadron and/or association to lead us throughout the streets of our capital cities on ANZAC Day.
The last No. 450 SQN veteran to lead us was the late F/O Jack Curtis in the Sydney contingent.
Unfortunately time has finally caught up with our veterans and many have either passed on, or are unable to leave their respective residence. Therefore we are now unable to march as a WWII unit.
It is now up to the WIDOWS and DESCENDANTS of No. 450 to take over on behalf of our veterans.
If you are a relative of a surviving veteran or DESCENDANT of a deceased veteran of No. 450 Squadron RAAF and you wish to march with the SYDNEY or NEWCASTLE contingent on ANZAC Day, 25 April 2018, please contact the secretary for further details, or complete the form below and submit it prior to 23 April 2018.
The 450 Squadron RAAF Association Incorporated is indebted to the late Alan J Harris dec., a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force on loan to the
450 Squadron RAAF during his WWII tour of duty in the Middle East. Alan's loyal support and legacy has made this Website a reality, in the name of the famous Desert Harassers®.
